What does eveyrone think? Someone said base price will be 16k, and who knows how much the cobra version will be. No idea on the stats.

Blech... looked much better as a concept car. I'm not totally against the retro look, but it's more like a re-make, not retro style... they really should have given it some smoother lines. It just looks like a car from the early 70's with nice new paint.

Here's to hoping it looks better in person.

I wonder what the performance numbers will be?

But I agree, looks fugly. Interior isn't that bad, but the front and rear ends are crap.

I'm sure its performance will suck too once Ford's management gets through gutting the concept car so they can produce an all-image no-go shitbox for the idiot masses, just like they've done for the last 10 years. I'm sure the 4 or 6-cylinder convertible model will be a favorite of girls aged 16-25 all across the land...

Do you know if they are going to make a Cobra version?

They'll make one for sure... it's supposed to compete with the new C6 Vette, but I bet it'll be only 8/10 of the new Vette....

Supposedly there will be a Cobra in 2006, not 2005.

It actually really does look good in person, I saw it when they were doing a photoshoot for it up here this last summer.. i like it alot, but the interiors reminds me too much of the early 80s fox bodies.. which would be fine if it were from the 80s.. but its not!

this might help with what ford is planning

While at the LA Auto Show we caught a glimpse of the new 2005 Ford Mustang GT Concept. The Ford rep told us that although there may be some changes made to the production version, the 2005 Mustang will feature many of the same lines as the one shown here. This concept featured a 4.6L supercharged V8 that puts out around 400 horsepower and 390 foot-pounds of torque. It's unlikely that the same supercharged powerplant will make it to the production version, but you know where to come if you're a few ponies shy of where you want to be.

Hey, within a year, I will have a stick again. But for now, I will take my lazy ass everywhere without having to shift

Lol...I don't care...I like the automatic a lot sometimes. Especially when traffic gets backed up or having to wake up at 5:30 am to make it to my meetings.
