Local SVX for sale

A coworker of mine at IGT has a 1992 SVX for sale:

The car used to work fine but the front differential gave out. I rebuilt the diff but could not get it back into the car (Comes out with the whole transmission as one unit) – it is almost in but not enough.

The car features :
- a ‘new’ (Refurbished) radiator – Cost me $300
- a new starter motor – cost $100-$200, can’t remember exactly
- new front diff (took over a year to find the right parts and a few hundred dollars)
- new tires - $700 - $800
- body is perfect
- paint is very good
- interior is perfect too
- All windows are dark tinted
- Could be sold for parts on eBay for a small fortune but that would break my heart…

Engine has about 100,000 miles on it.

I’m selling it for $1,500 for spares or repair

Note: It would have to be towed from Reno NW – they would need to put a dolly on the front as the axels are currently not connected to the diff.

I'm tempted to pick the car up myself and do a 5-speed swap because aside from the transmission, the car sounds like it's in good shape with low miles... but I've already got one "project" SVX, plus the race car... so I don't really have the space, time or money for another SVX. Anyone w/ some mechanical inclination would probably be able to finish the diff install, or for under $1000 do the very straight-forward 4.44 legacy tranny swap with a junkyard 4EAT which makes the car a blast to drive around town.

Wrong color and I'm still a good year away from being able to fab a 5mt in.....nice mileage though. I wonder what shape the glass is in?

Actually, it's not claret, it's black on black, with tinted windows and gray interior. Sounds like it's a pretty nice looking car.

The guy is selling it because he's forced to move out of his house and doesn't have time to get it running. So he needs to unload it to someone that's willing to pick it up w/ a trailer. Which I'd be willing to help out with if someone wants it... I can grab my truck and trailer and we can winch it up and drop it off. I just hate to see this car end up at the dismantlers.
