How are so many freaking bots getting through? It just so happens that I had my son sitting on my lap today while a spam bot threw up some porn on our forum.

Is there a setting so that a new member can't post until an admin has approved their registration. All of the registered names are clearly BS so it shouldn't be too hard. I am willing to take over that responsibility if everyone else is too busy.

But, yeah, registrations closed for a bit since it really stepped up lately.

We have two options, the way it is, or closed registration. We tried monitoring the registration but for every new person that signs up there are 200 spammers to dig through making it hard to manage and I got tired of getting hate mail from the people I accidentally banned because their email address looked like a spammers.

I can try to limit the allowed email domains down some more, but we're already running the best captchaa round. The reason nothing works is because they aren't bots registering, it's real people Paid by the spammers that just sit around making accounts all day long.
