Did you/they connect the green plugs and install the white jumper plug first. Did you/they remove the white plug and disconnect the green plugs afterwards (or is that the other way around?). The manual also talks about not disturbing the electrical system while it's flashing, such as do not play the radio or even open the door. It's not in valet or antitheft map is it? That's all I know of.

Scott, I never got a chance to plug it into a power supply, but you might want to verify that it was actually unmarried:

It better be unmarried, I read the direction like 8 billion times and called Matt to make sure, and I sat there and watched it "revert back to stock".

I can only assume Nate knows the procedure for the AccessPort, considering he's done 'em 100 times and is an authorized reseller.

Also, Nate verified that the AP was properly unmarried. In fact it seems to marry just fine to my ECU, but when you turn the car on, everything goes haywire... clicking relays, no fuel pump prime... etc.

Also, I think I've got the specs on the power supply... I'm gonna order one from Jameco.

Here's the unit... can anyone confirm or refute that it's got the right specs? I'm pretty sure I've got the voltage and amperage right, but I don't know if I need regulated or unregulated (this one's regulated) and I'm not totally sure about the size of the plug.

Okay scratch that... it's a 1200mA transformer, not 1000mA... time to recheck the Jameco catalog.

It's an '02/'03 AP on a 2002 ECU.

Is this your original ecu, or one you bought off someone? Is it possible they had some kind of reflash on there already?

It's someone else's ECU, came off a wrecked 2002 WRX. ECU w/o the AP installed fires the car and seems to work properly. Installing the AP shouldn't be effected by anything on the ECU, since I believe it completely rewrites the firmware on the ECU.

Your ECU or your power cord? Either way, I'm leaving everything in Sac, so borrowing parts won't help, but thanks for the offer.

Also, after checking out MattM's cable I've found the correct power cord over at Jameco:
