I think it's legal in Modified. Or you can unplug the control unit and leave it out of the car during your runs.

I didn't have it yet. Nick has one.

I don't know how I ever lived without it!!

My uncle runs the EDFC in the Arizona Region with no problems, so I guess one would have to protest. I really dont see how it could help at auto-x

"I see", said the blind man, to his deaf wife.

How could you not benefit from that on an auto X weekend? That seems like it would be great from one day to another. Change in track design/faster/slower turns.

It allows you to adjust the suspension from the cockpit. Now, anyone w/ adjustable suspension can change their setting between runs, the EDFC just means you don't have to get out of the car and turn knobs.

Since it's friggen hard to drive while pressing buttons to adjust the suspension, this specific system is not really an advantage on course. However, the anal-retentive SCCA rules expressly forbid electronically adjustable suspension on cars that didn't come with it from the factory, because there is the potential for someone to develop a programmable system that might automatically adjust the suspension to match the course while driving. That would be a huge advantage, and extremely expensive, which reduces competition overall. Hence the "no EDFC" rule.

I agree, it would be extremely difficult to drive with having to push buttons all the time.

I was just getting sick of pulling out my back seat everytime I needed to change the setting. This is huge for day to day driving where driving alone may require a little more stiffness while adding the family to the car warrents the softer ride settings.

as far as auto-x, I would need to be more active and in SM I dont think anyone would care. If I had to remove the head unit before runs that wouldn't bother me either, well on a personal note it might

Now you can have a 32 way adjustable suspension!

32 way eh? So that's what, bump, rebound, slow bump, slow rebound, and 28 other valves?

I think what you mean is 32 step adjustment. Which is also overkill... I couldn't figure out what to do with 15 steps on my JICs, and I've yet to turn the knob once on the Konis.

But... that certainly does help sell coilovers!

/me wants some Tein Flex's +EDFC for the SVX.

Sorry yes 32 step adjustment. With the edfc it just lets you do 1/2 increments from the standard 16. I just have 3 presets and use those. I do feel a huge difference between the range.

it was STi only unit. Tein for some reason has 3 different piston sizes.

I hope he counted it!!!1 j/k 300 was a great deal, I just couldn't pass that price up
